Also, I think it is disingenuous to compare the distance to Seattle U. In driving miles instead of actual flight hours. Yeah an extra 200 miles sounds bad, but it is just another 20 minutes when you are already airborne and jetting at 600 MPH.
Old timer Karl Benson might think San Jose State is a "small school" (30,000+) with smaller crowds (17,100 during October's SDSU Game), but you may notice if they play Nevada the game gets bumped up from ESPN to ABC. Why? Not just markets (Las Vegas always interested in the Reno school) but also ratings. They would deliver enough numbers in not just LV but San Jose, CA (pop. 1,000,000) as well.
